Our home base in Middle Georgia has a new name that honors our deepest values: The Mawón Center. Named for the Maroons who created free communities in the face of slavery, this space represents refuge, resistance, and radical possibility.
The Mawón Center – BOLD’s transformative event center and farm in Middle Georgia has been developed as a home for leaders, changemakers, and communities to convene, heal, and build together.
The Center emerges from a national need for safe, nourishing spaces where our networks can retreat from the demands of justice work, strategize intentionally, and reconnect with the land.
Rural Georgia might seem like an unlikely home for a movement training space, but our ancestors knew how to create freedom in unexpected places. The Mawón Center is that tradition, alive and available to you.
The Center is now open for bookings—for your trainings, your retreats, your strategy sessions, your healing circles. This is movement infrastructure in its most tangible form: a brave space where we can gather to do the work that our communities need.
